We support SUDEP Action
On April 1st 2015, Gaye, partner of Paul Prince who created Cult Racing, passed away suddenly through epilepsy. She had just turned 40. Epilepsy is a condition that touches a lot of people and sudden death from it was something he or her family weren't aware existed.
In her memory, Paul decided to support the charity SUDEP Action by placing their logo and a purple arm band on the club kit to raise awareness of the condition.
There are at least three epilepsy-related deaths a day in the UK. The majority are Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) which is still not fully understood. SUDEP Action cares for the bereaved and works with families and professionals to make change. Using research and awareness they strive to get the answers that will save lives.
